Joe Heinrich (* 1976 in Edinburgh , Scotland ) is a Scottish author and cartoonist . Although a native of Scots, he is a representative of the German funny comics division and often allows well-known personalities to act as comic characters in his stories.

Life

Joe Heinrich first grew up in Scotland. In 1984 he came to Germany with his parents and studied graphic design in Munich from 1995 to 1999 . During his student days, he began with cartoons for advertising agencies as well as storyboards for small film productions and the design of character figures for animated films. In 1997 he started as an author and draftsman with the first comic book Bleifuss - Types, Faxes, Sensations . Since 2010 Joe Heinrich, who now lives in Munich, has appeared exclusively as a comedian and cabaret artist , puppeteer and puppet maker , including for Bavarian television .

Joe Heinrich wrote and drew 15 comics , with over 2000 comic strips . His comics were produced through to printing with a few freelancers in his comic studio. His best-known comics include the racing comic Bleifuss , nine volumes published by Ehapa Verlag (1997–1999), as well as the Die Ludolfs comic Die Ludolfs and the curse of Tut Nich Imun (in preview production) and currently the first Horst Schlämmer -Comic Horst Schlämmer and the hype Hackepeter , published by Piper Verlag (2009). His comic Skit Row is a hidden object book, which previously consisted of a single 20 cm high and up to now 1,300 cm long drawing and which he is constantly expanding as a diary and life's work.
