Joey Calistri (born November 20, 1993 in Deerfield ) is an American football player who is mostly used as a striker . He is currently under contract with Chicago Fire .

Career

Youth and amateur football

Before entering college, Calistri played for three years in the youth teams of the first division club Chicago Fire. Calistri studied at Northwestern University and played there for the college team of his university, the Northwestern Wildcats. While in college, he also played for the Chicago Fire U-23 in the Premier Development League .

Club career

After studying at Northwestern, he signed a contract under the Homegrown Player Rule with Chicago Fire on December 17, 2015 . He made his competitive debut in Major League Soccer on March 6, 2016 in a 4-3 defeat by New York City FC . In this game he was substituted on in the 81st minute for Răzvan Cociș .
