Johan Eric Ragnar Bargum (born May 13, 1943 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish-Swedish writer and director .

Life

Johan Bargum was born in Helsinki in 1943. He studied at the University of Helsinki and worked there at the Lilla Theaters . He belongs to the Swedish- speaking minority in Finland.

Bargum published several novels and short stories , including the novels Sensommar (in German: Nachsommer ) and The first snow ( Den första snön ). He has also written scripts for films, radio plays and numerous plays . One of his most successful pieces is Finns det tigrar i Kongo ?, written together with Bengt Ahlfors . ( Are there tigers in the Congo? ).

Many of Bargum's theater works are designed for children's and youth theater , for example his play The First Snow , which was also published as a novel for children, or Don't call me Sissi! ( Kalla mig inte Sessan! ). It is about a young girl Cecilia, whose father Per, a director by profession, does not care about her. To get the father's attention, she goes to the emergency room of a hospital and forces a fight with her father.
