Johan Edfors (born October 10, 1975 in Varberg ) is a Swedish professional golfer on the European Tour .

He started his professional career in 1997 and played for years on the less endowed Challenge Tour before he won two tournaments there in 2003 and qualified for the top-tier European Tour . The first season on the big tour was not successful enough, but Edfors managed to regain the eligibility to play through the Tour School . In 2006 he had his breakthrough with two successes at the TCL Classic and shortly afterwards at the prestigious British Masters . In July, the third and - with over € 577,000 - most valuable European Tour victory followed at the Barclays Scottish Open on Loch Lomond .

Johan Edfors is based in Dubai .
