from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Royal Trophy was a team competition between 2006 and 2013 between professional male golfers from Asia and Europe based on the model of the famous Ryder Cup . The sixteen kilogram trophy made of solid silver was donated by His Majesty, King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand , on the occasion of his 60th anniversary to the throne.
