Johana Bory

Johana Bory (born January 10, 1977 in Saint-Étienne , France , † March 15, 2010 in Nidau , Switzerland ) was a French actress and puppeteer .

Life

Johana Bory discovered her passion for puppetry when she was a child, and learned to play with puppets herself. The first performances were initially limited to family and friends. Since she also designed puppets herself, she decided at the age of 17 to open her own studio and offer courses. Various appearances at festivals, in theaters and schools followed. To perfect her puppetry, she attended the École Lassaad in Brussels . With the Théâtre Johana she appeared in Belgium, Italy and Canada, among others, in Parma, Italy, she received the special award of the festival. She also played the main role in various theater productions.

In 2008 she was diagnosed with cancer and the incurability of the disease prompted her to shoot the documentary Bouton with the film producer Res Balzli .
