Johann Abraham Richter (* in Hohnstein ; † March 25, 1737 ibid) was a German royal Polish and electoral Saxon civil servant. Most recently he was bailiff of the two combined administrative offices of Hohnstein and Lohmen in Saxon Switzerland .

Life

He was the son of Christian Richter, chief elder of the shoemaker and court relative in the town of Hohnstein in Saxon Switzerland.

After school education, Johann Abraham Richter pursued an administrative career in the service of Prince Elector Augustus the Strong and his successor , who at that time were also kings of Poland in personal union. Richter initially administered the service registry (actuary) in the Hohnstein office . From at least 1732 he was employed as administrative administrator in his hometown of Hohnstein, where he actively supported the previous bailiff Johann George Kästner.

After Kästner's departure, Richter was promoted to magistrate. At that time, the Office of Lohmen also belonged to the Office of Hohnstein . He administered both offices until his death. After his death, the aforementioned Johann George Kästner leased the two combined offices until he died in 1754. After that, Carl Heinrich Sommer became official administrator in Hohnstein.

Johann Abraham Richter died in March 1757 and left behind from his marriage to Susanna, born Winckler from Neustadt , the only five-year-old son Christian Gotthelf Richter, who was born on July 21, 1731 in Hohnstein and who later learned the trade of barber . and two daughters.
