Johann Adolf Rossmaessler

Johann Adolf Roßmaessler (* 1770 in Leipzig ; † January 6, 1821 there ) was a German engraver and draftsman.

Johann Adolf Roßmaessler (Rosmäsler senior) excelled in handling the point stitch . Among other things, he published in Leipzig in 1812 a “thorough instruction to learn to draw in a series of 24 sheets with an explanatory text according to Oeser”, which was published again twenty years later. The engravers August (1752–1783) and Friedrich Roßmaessler (1775–1858) were his brothers.

Adolf Roßäßler was married to Amalia Kluge. They had the son Emil Adolf Roßmaessler .
