Johann Adolph von Brühl

Johann Adolph von Brühl , since 1738 Count von Brühl (born September 6, 1695 in Gangloffsömmern ; † December 26, 1742 ) was royal Polish and electoral Saxon stable master and chamberlain, princely Saxon chief stable master and travel marshal as well as the owner of the manor.

Life

He was the son of the Privy Councilor Hans Moritz von Brühl , who was in the service of the Duke of Saxe-Weissenfels and had inherited the Gangloffsömmern manor . Best known was his younger brother, Prime Minister Heinrich von Brühl , who achieved the elevation of the counts for the entire family.

After his father's death, he and his three brothers managed the paternal estate, which his brothers later left to him alone.

His brother Heinrich was promoted to the court of Augustus the Strong in 1732, where he was appointed travel stable master and the same year royal Polish travel stable master. A little later he was appointed chamberlain.

In 1735 Johann Adolph von Brühl bought the Zehista manor . On April 16, 1738 he was raised to the rank of count at the imperial court.

After he had sold his father's manor Gangloffsömmern, he had his own palace built in Dresden in 1739, the later Palais Hoym , which was destroyed in 1945 and later rebuilt. After his death in 1742 he was buried in the Dresden Frauenkirche .

family

Johann Adolph von Brühl married Martha Eva Christina geb. from Opole. The daughter Henriette Erdmutha Eleonora, who was born in 1735 and married the Polish-Saxon ambassador to Sweden Carl von der Osten , emerged from the marriage .
