Johann Baptist Lexa von Aehrenthal

Johann Baptist Lexa von Aehrenthal (born July 30, 1777 in Prague , † October 17, 1845 in Doxan ) was a Bohemian administrative officer and pomologist .

Life

Lexa von Aehrenthal was born as the son of Johann Anton Ritter Lexa von Aehrenthal. The family was a bourgeois family ennobled in 1790. He attended grammar school in Prague and then studied law there. He entered then into the civil service, was the district administrator kk Bohemian Regional Court and Councilor at the Imperial Bohemian Landesgubernium , its vice president, he eventually became. In recognition of his services as a public official, he was raised to the bohemian baron status on March 10, 1828.

Lexa von Aehrenthal married Philippine Freiin Schirndinger von Schirnding on September 13, 1807 († August 18, 1811). His second marriage was on January 7, 1815, when he married Countess Johanna Nepomucena von Wilczek. From this marriage there were two children:

  • Johann Baptist II. Baron Lexa von Aehrenthal (born March 11, 1817), ∞ Countess Maria Felicia von Thun-Hohenstein
  • Franziska Romana Maria Rosina Freiin Lexa von Aehrenthal (born March 13, 1819 in Prague), ∞ Baron Franz Xaver Maria Aloys von Paumgarten

After the death of his father, Lexa von Aehrenthal inherited the Doxan rule in what is now the Czech Republic with Terespol Castle and the property belonging to it, which his father had acquired in 1804. Here he built an extensive and exemplary planting of fruit trees.
