Johann Baumann (painter)

Johann Baumann (born April 7, 1882 in Kleve , † October 20, 1959 in Eichenau ) was a German painter .

He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich around 1910 , where he received awards in 1913/1914. He then continued to work in Munich before moving to Eichenau in 1945. He was a member of the German Society for Christian Art and painted churches in neo-baroque style. Furthermore, he was mainly busy with restoration and conservation work.
