Johann Christian Krüger (lawyer)

Johann Christian Krüger (born February 8, 1771 in Berlin ; † December 25, 1845 there ) was a long-time judge at the Berlin City Court and an honorary citizen of Berlin.

Johann Christian Krüger studied law and from 1793 was a trainee lawyer at the Higher Regional Court in Berlin. From 1798 he was a judge at the city court. He was also a member of the Guardianship Court between 1810 and 1820. Krüger was also the conductor of the new department for credit and estate matters at the city court.

On the occasion of his 50th anniversary of service, the city of Berlin granted him honorary citizenship on May 14, 1843 ; he was also appointed to the Privy Council of Justice. Friedrich Wilhelm IV awarded him the Red Eagle Order Class III.
