Johann Christoph Weinschenk

Johann Christoph Weinschenk (also Johannes Christoph Weinschenk , * 1722 in Magdeburg , † 1804 ) was a German medic and court physician to the King of Prussia.

Life

Johann Christoph Weinschenk studied medicine at the University of Halle and received his doctorate from Johann Juncker in 1747 . Weinschenk then worked as a doctor in Magdeburg from 1748 and later became court doctor of the King of Prussia and assessor of the royal medical college in Magdeburg. He held the title of Hofrat.

On January 6, 1756, Johann Christoph Weinschenk was registered under the registration number. 604 with the academic surname Philetes III. accepted as a member of the Leopoldina .

His son Johann Carl Friedrich Weinschenk (1764-1853) also became a doctor and, after his license to practice medicine, took over his father's practice in 1787.
