Johann Daffinger
Johann Leopold Daffinger (born July 1, 1748 in Vienna ; † July 6, 1796 there ) was an Austrian porcelain and colored painter.
life and work
Johann Daffinger worked as a painter at the Wiener Porzellanmanufaktur from 1760 to 1766 , then in Switzerland , especially in Zurich , until he returned to Vienna, where he worked in the manufactory as a flower painter, staffer and finally as a colored painter.
Daffinger died of mushroom poisoning in 1796. His work stands in the shadow of his son Moritz Daffinger .
