Johann Edmund von Walpott-Bassenheim (* around 1620 ; † unknown) was canon in Münster .

Life

Johann Edmund von Walpott-Bassenheim came from the Rhenish noble family Waldbott von Bassenheim and was the son of Heinrich Walpott von Bassenheim and his wife Maria Raitz von Frentz . His brothers Ernst Emmerich and Johann Ulrich were also canons in Münster. On April 1, 1651 Johann Edmund was succeeded by his brother Johann Ulrich in his capacity as Turnar for Dompräbende of the late Canon Johann von Neuhoffpresented and took possession of it on May 9th of that year. In November 1656 he declared his intention to marry and to renounce the benefice. Permission for this was given on December 3, 1656. The waiver in favor of his brother Ernst Emmerich dates from February 3, 1657.
