Johann Friedrich Metzler

Johann Friedrich Metzler (-Heyden) (born May 13, 1780 in Frankfurt am Main ; † December 25, 1864 ibid) was a banker and politician of the Free City of Frankfurt .

Johann Friedrich Metzler was the eldest son of the Frankfurt banker Friedrich Metzler and his wife Susanne, geb. Fingerlin (1764-1799). He became a banker and co-owner of the Metzler banking house in Frankfurt am Main, which still exists today . From 1830 to 1833 he was a senator in the Senate of the Free City of Frankfurt . He was a member of the Legislative Body from 1817 to 1822 and from 1828 to 1833.
