August Ferdinand Conrad zur Hellen ( February 27, 1790 - January 10, 1860 in Werther ) was a Prussian district administrator.

Live and act

After studying law, August Ferdinand Conrad zur Hellen initially worked as an assessor at the Höxter Tribunal from September 1812 to November 1813 . In December 1813 he joined the 2nd Westphalian Landwehr Infantry Regiment and was promoted to second lieutenant on June 24, 1814 . On July 16, 1818 he was released from military service. From 1821 he was mayor of Werther and district deputy of the Halle district for ten years. On March 12, 1831, he was entrusted with the municipal administration of the Halle district and on March 26, 1832, by an absolute majority, the district council elected him to be the first candidate for the district administration. On June 10, 1832, he was appointed District Administrator of the Halle district .

At the instigation of the Minden government , Zur Hellen submitted a request for dismissal, which was granted on November 20, 1855 by handing over the certificate of dismissal. August zur Hellen was also a deputy of the Halle District Synod and Bielefeld Provincial Synod.

family

He married Johanna Christine Arnoldine Dreckmeyer in 1816 and came into the possession of the Niedermühlen estate through inheritance, where he settled after his retirement. The marriage had five children.
