Oleh Anatolijowytsch Wynnyk , also written Oleg Vinnik , Oleh Vynnyk or Olegg Vynnyk ( Ukrainian Олег Анатолійович Винник ; born July 31, 1973 , in Werbiwka , Cherkassy Oblast , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian singer and songwriter. In Germany he became known - later also under the artist name OLEGG - as the main actor in several musicals.

biography

education

Wynnyk finished secondary school in Tscherwonyj Kut near Shashkiv . After school, Wynnyk joined the Kaniw culture school to train as a choir director. At the age of 20, Oleh Wynnyk became a soloist of the Ukrainian Folk Choir of Cherkassy Oblast .

Acting career

During an internship in Germany, Wynnyk received an offer from the Lüneburg Theater as a singer and performer in certain sections of the opera. Among other things, Wynnyk played in operas such as Tosca and Paganini at the Lüneburg Theater . Wynnyk then completed a two-year training course in Hamburg under the direction of répétiteur John Lehman. In Hamburg he also tried his hand at the musical genre for the first time. Wynnyk played his first roles in Kiss me, Kate (European tour 1999–2001, Lucencio), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Berlin 2001–2002, including Phoebus, Clopin) and Titanic (Hamburg, 2002–2003, including Robert Hitchens, Bricoux).

He had his breakthrough on the musical stage as Jean Valjean in the Berlin production of Les Misérables (2003-2004, spelling: "Oleh Vynnyk"). He then played the leading role of Death in the musical Elisabeth (2005–2006, spelling: "Olegg Vynnyk") in Stuttgart and in 2007 played Jean Valjean in Les Misérables again at the St. Gallen Theater and the Bad Hersfeld Festival .

Musical career

From 2011, Oleh Wynnyk concentrated on his solo career and returned to Ukraine, where he made his professional breakthrough after a few years. Among other things, this is thanks to the hit "Glück" ( Russian Счастье ). Wynnyk is the author and composer of all of his songs that he records in Berlin . His songs are written in Russian and Ukrainian.

Private life

Oleh Wynnyk lives in Kiev and Berlin. He is married and has a son who lives with his mother in Stuttgart. Wynnyk speaks German , Ukrainian and Russian.

Oleh Wynnyk supported the Agrarian Party in the Ukrainian parliamentary elections in 2019.
