Johann Goldschmidt

Johann Goldschmidt (born April 9, 1894 in Wiener Neustadt ; † December 23, 1962 there ) was an Austrian politician and master baker. Goldschmidt was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1934 to 1938 .

State Parliament - trade representative Goldschmidt worked as a master baker in Wiener Neustadt and was involved in the Christian Social Party from 1913. Between 1928 and 1938 he was a local councilor, and during the period of Austro-Fascism he was a trade representative in the Lower Austrian state parliament between November 22, 1934 and March 12, 1938. Goldschmidt was also Deputy Mayor of Wiener Neustadt between 1935 and 1938 and between 1945 and 1956. In 1938 he was arrested after the National Socialists came to power. In 1960 he was made an honorary citizen.
