Johann Gottfried Groß von Trockau
Johann Gottfried Freiherr Groß von Trockau (born February 3, 1687 in Weldenstein Neuhaus ; † September 15, 1750 ) was a German bishop and auxiliary bishop in Eichstätt .
On March 7, 1716 he was ordained a deacon and on April 11, 1716 a priest for the diocese of Eichstätt. On March 8, 1745 he was appointed auxiliary bishop in Eichstätt and titular bishop of Rosalia . On April 20, 1745, Johann Anton II von Freyberg -Hopferau consecrated him as bishop . On July 25, 1747 he consecrated Johann Philipp Anton von und zu Frankenstein with the assistance of Christoph Nebel , auxiliary bishop of Mainz , and Franz Joseph Anton von Hahn , auxiliary bishop of Bamberg , as bishop of Bamberg.
