Johann Gottfried Melos

Johann Gottfried Melos (also: Johann Gottfried Mehlhose ) (* 1770 in Großmonra ; † February 16, 1828 in Weimar ) was a German high school professor , pedagogue and book author whose works have been published several times.

Life

He was married to Ulrica Justine Wilhelmine Melos (1780–1866). Of his daughters, Ida Melos (1817–1899) is historically documented through the marriage of Ferdinand Freiligrath (1810–1876) as the older sister of Marie Melos (1820–1888).
