Johann Gottfried Wülfing (* 1682 in Elberfeld (now part of Wuppertal ); † February 1731 there ) was Mayor of Elberfeld.

Wülfing was born as the son of the mayor from 1694, Gottfried Wülfing (1633–1695) and his wife Christina Schopmann (1644–1736). He was baptized on May 3, 1782 in Elberfeld. His grandfather, Daniel Wülfing (1608–1684), was mayor of the city in 1663. Wülfing married Christina Gertrud Teschemacher (1691–1747) in April 1710, with whom he had four children.

Like his father, Wülfing worked as a merchant in Elberfeld and was first proposed as mayor in 1717. In 1718 he was a council member and in the two years that followed in common. For 1729 he was proposed as mayor and elected to office. In 1730 he became a city judge. He died in February 1730, the funeral took place on February 20.
