Johann Kaspar Wuppermann (born June 1, 1669 in Barmen ; † June 8, 1742 in Elberfeld , both today districts of Wuppertal ) was the mayor of Elberfeld.

Wuppermann was born on the Schüren farm in Barmen, which his mother Anna Margareta Siebel (1639–1698) had inherited. His father Wennemar Wuppermann (1639–1691) was a merchant and yarn bleacher at the Schönenbeck farm in Barmen. Johann Kaspar's brother was Johann Rütger Wuppermann , who was mayor in 1730. His sister Anna Maria Wuppermann (1673-1727) was also married to Gerhard Werner Teschemacher , the mayor of 1721. On March 12, 1703, Johann Kaspar Wuppermann married Helena Judith Teschemacher, the youngest daughter of Isaak Teschemacher , mayor from 1672. The couple had seven children, but only two daughters reached adulthood.

After the early death of his father, Johann Kaspar Wuppermann moved from his parents' farm to Elberfeld, where he worked as a merchant. He was proposed and elected mayor for the first and only time in 1728. In 1729 he was the city judge of Elberfeld.
