Gerhard Werner Teschemacher (* July 12, 1666 in Unterbarmen ; † May 22, 1740 in Elberfeld ) was the mayor of Elberfeld.

Teschemacher was born as the son of Engelbert Teschemacher (1621-1697) and Maria Magdalena Cappel in Unterbarmen and settled as a merchant in Elberfeld. In 1706 he was a commoner and in 1709, 1714 and 1716 a councilor of the city. In 1719 and 1720 he was one of the four people who had been proposed for the office of mayor, but was not elected. In 1721 he was initially not on the list of proposals. But since one of the four candidates from 1721, as it turned out, did not have Elberfeld citizenship, he was appointed as successor by Johannes Wülfing , Mayor of Elberfeld in 1719 and city judge from 1720, and also elected in the election. After his tenure, Teschemacher was also a city judge and then, from November 19, 1723 to January 27, 1738, lay judge of the city court.

Teschemacher married Anna Maria Wuppermann (1673–1727), also from Barmen, on March 11, 1696 in Elberfeld and had ten children with her. He died on May 22, 1740 and was buried on May 27 in Elberfeld.
