Kaspar Teschemacher

Kaspar Teschemacher (* 1657 in Elberfeld (today: district of Wuppertal ); † 1727 there ) was a merchant and councilor in Elberfeld.

As the son of Benjamin Teschemacher, a merchant from Uellendahl and Elberfeld as well as council relatives (* 1619 in Elberfeld, † 1681 in Elberfeld) and Katharina Schlösser (* 1630 in Elberfeld, † 1717 in Elberfeld), Kaspar Teschemacher received the on November 25, 1657 in Elberfeld Infant baptism . His grandfather Johannes Teschemacher († 1625) was also mayor of Elberfeld in 1616.

On November 8, 1686, he married Anna Katharina Wuppermann (1664–1705) in Elberfeld and had eight children with her, including Anna Christina Teschemacher. Anna Christina married the banker Conrad Kersten in 1711 .

Kaspar Teschemacher married Helena Katharina Siebel (1679–1748) again on October 10, 1709, she was the daughter of the Barmer merchant and yarn bleacher Kaspar Siebel . With her he had another daughter.

Teschemacher himself was mayor of the city of Elberfeld in 1720 and later city judge. He died in 1727 and was buried on October 2nd.
