Johann Hartmann (politician)

Johann Hartmann (born November 24, 1871 in Lichten Werden / Svetlá, today Světlá Hora , † June 30, 1948 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( SDAP ) and worker. From 1919 to 1921 he was a member of the state parliament of Lower Austria and from 1923 to 1934 a member of the Vienna state parliament and local council .

After elementary school, Hartmann attended the technical college and learned to be a carpenter there. He worked as a carpenter's assistant, did his three years of military service and was then employed as a railway employee. He also worked as a board member of the Accident Insurance Institution of the Austrian Railways and represented the Social Democratic Labor Party from May 20, 1919 to May 11, 1921 in the Lower Austrian Landtag, and from November 10, 1920 he was a member of the Vienna Curia as part of the separation phase between Vienna and Lower Austria and from December 30, 1920 was a delegate from Vienna. He was then from 1923 to 1934 a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the municipal council.
