Johann Heinrich Behn

Johann Heinrich Behn (* 1802 in Lübeck ; † 1885 ibid) was a German lawyer, historian and parliamentarian.

Life

Johann Heinrich Behn was the son of pastor and senior Hermann Friedrich Behn and attended the Katharineum in Lübeck until Michaelis in 1821. Johann Heinrich Behn, a lawyer with a doctorate in both rights , was initially actuary at Wedde in Lübeck. He was a member of the constituent Lübeck citizenship in 1848/1849 and was also a member of the first elected Lübeck citizenship in 1849/1850 as deputy spokesman for the citizenship in 1849. From 1850 to 1873 he was director of the Lübeck-Büchener railway .

Johann Heinrich Behn was honorary director of the Society for the Promotion of Charitable Activities in Lübeck from 1845 to 1848 . As such, he was a member of the committee for the General German Singing Festival in Lübeck in 1847.
