Johann Heinrich Schlueter

Johann Heinrich Schlueter (* 1669 ; † September 29, 1731 in Berlin) was a German lawyer and mayor of Berlin.

Life

From 1699 onwards, Schlüter held the position of advocate for the Electoral Brandenburg Chamber of Appeal and Court of Appeal in Berlin. In 1717 he was advisor to the chamber judge, in 1718 a secret judge of justice and appellate judge and finally a tribunal advisor. From 1704 he worked as a lawyer for the city of Berlin.

From 1712 to 1730 he was mayor of Berlin, until 1725 at the head of the Berlin administration and from 1726 assigned to the city president, who had taken over the presidency of the magistrate. In 1710 he was elected a full member of the Royal Prussian Society of Sciences . He was director of the historical class from 1717 and vice-president of the academy several times between 1718 and 1731.
