Johann Heinrich von Mörs

Johann Heinrich von Mörs (* in Cologne ; † February 21, 1728 in Cologne) was a German priest and official in the Archdiocese of Cologne .

Life

Mörs, who had studied in Rome and was awarded a Dr. jur. had received his doctorate , held the rectorate of the University of Cologne from 1713 to 1717 . After he had already reached the Cologne Cathedral Chapter on May 18, 1711 , Archbishop Joseph Clemens of Bavaria appointed him his official on July 18, 1720.

Mörs, who was also a canon at the collegiate churches of St. Gereon and St. Cäcilien in Cologne , as well as a member of the Privy Council, was seen as a skilled man who at the same time was not very open and always minded to “shut up” everyone.
