Johann Hell

Johann Hell (born October 17, 1955 in St. Pölten ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 2008 to 2017 he was a member of the National Council and has been mayor of the municipality of Böheimkirchen in Lower Austria since 2015 .

education and profession

Johann Hell attended elementary school in Kasten from 1962 to 1966 and then switched to secondary school in Böheimkirchen. 1970 to 1971 he completed the polytechnical course and then began an apprenticeship as a machine fitter . As part of his training, he attended vocational school from 1971 to 1975 . After completing his apprenticeship, Hell completed his train driver training at the ÖBB between 1976 and 1978 and passed the state train driver examination.

Johann Hell worked as a train driver from 1978 to 1998 and has been an instructor for train drivers since 1998.

politics

Johann Hell has been a member of the municipal council of Böheimkirchen since 1995 and was elected vice mayor in 2007 and mayor in 2015. Since 2006 he has also been the local party chairman of the SPÖ Böheimkirchen. Hell is also active in the union and has been regional chairman of the ÖGB in the Lower Austrian Central region since 1996 .

Johann Hell ran for the National Council election in Austria 2006 on the regional constituency list Lower Austria center of the SPÖ, but initially missed entry into the National Council. After Beate Schasching left the National Council at the end of the XXIII. Hell moved to the National Council for the legislative period.
