Beate Schasching (born August 24, 1961 in Wels ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and vice-president of the state school board for Lower Austria.

education and profession

Beate Schasching attended elementary school from 1968 to 1972 and then a general education college, which she graduated with the Matura in 1980. Schasching then graduated from the Pedagogical Academy from 1980 to 1983 . After completing her training, Schasching worked as a secondary school teacher at a secondary sports school in Vienna from 1983 to 2005, where she taught German, music and physical education.

politics

Beate Schasching has been the local party chairman of the SPÖ Neulengbach -Tausendblum since 1999 . She is a member of the Federal Women's Committee of the SPÖ and President of the ASKÖ Vienna. Schasching has been city councilor for health in Neulengbach since 2001. From October 29, 1999 to July 9, 2008 she was a member of the National Council. She resigned her mandate due to her election as Vice-President of the State School Council for Lower Austria. Since 2011 she has been chairwoman of the Pedagogical University Council in Lower Austria.
