Johann Holper

Johann Holper (born November 10, 1949 in Ebenfurth , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian trade unionist .

He is a member of the parliamentary group of social democratic trade unionists (FSG) and from 2006 to 2011 held the office of federal chairman of the Bau-Holz trade union (GBH).

Life

Johann Holper learned the craft of painter and house painter . He began to get involved in the works councils of ARGE U3 / 4 and Negrelli at an early age, and he even headed the former. In parallel to these activities, he completed the trade union school from 1985 to 1987. One year after completing this, he became secretary of the Bau-Holz Wien trade union. In 1995 he took over the post of legal protection secretary of the Bau-Holz trade union in Vienna. Seven years later he became state secretary of the Bau-Holz Vienna trade union and in the same year deputy federal chairman of the GBH. After his predecessor, Johann Driemer retired in 2006, he took over his position as federal chairman of the Bau-Holz trade union and became a member of the ÖGB board.
