Johann I (Auvergne)

John I ( attested in 1326 ; † March 24, 1386 ) was Count of Auvergne and Boulogne . He was a son of Robert VII , Count of Auvergne and Boulogne and Maria of Flanders.

Johann was Count of Montfort before he inherited the counties of Auvergne and Boulogne in 1360 after the death of his niece Johanna I.

In 1328 he married Jeanne de Clermont († July 27, 1383), daughter of Johann, Baron von Charolais from the Bourbon family . Your children were:

• John II , † September 28, 1404, Count of Auvergne and Boulogne
• Johanna, † October 1, 1373; ∞ probably on June 14, 1371 in the Château de Vieux-Brioude Beraud II. Le Grand Dauphin , Dauphin of Auvergne , Count of Clermont , † January 17, 1400
• Maria, † May 2, 1388, Dame de Saint-Just-en-Champagne and Granges-en-Auvergne ; ∞ probably on October 30, 1375 in Avignon Raimond Louis de Beaufort , Count of Beaufort, Vice-Count of Turenne , † March 30, 1400, buried in Saint-Martial in Avignon ( House Rogier de Beaufort )

John I of Auvergne was buried in Le Bouchet (now part of Manzat ).
