Johann I. (Troppau-Leobschütz)

Johann I von Troppau (also Johann / Hanuš von Fulnek , Czech Hanuš z Fulneka , also Hanuš Hlubčický ; * around 1420, †  1454 ) was part-Duke of Troppau and Leobschütz and Lord of Fulnek from 1445/47 until his death in 1454 . He came from the Troppau branch of the Bohemian Přemyslids .

Life

His parents were Duke Wenzel II von Troppau and Leobschütz and Elisabeth von Krawarn .

After the death of their father in 1445/47, Johann I and his younger brother of the same name, Johann II "Pius", jointly inherited the Duchy of Leobschütz and a third of the Duchy of Opava. After Johann / Hanuš died unmarried and without descendants in 1454, his only brother Johann II inherited his territory.
