Johann Jacob Lucius

Johann Jacob Lucius (born April 23, 1761 in Frankfurt am Main ; † May 15, 1826 ibid) was a judge and politician of the Free City of Frankfurt .

Johann Jacob Lucius was the son of the lawyer, senator and junior mayor of Frankfurt am Main Johann Christian Lucius (1728–1785) and his wife Rosina Catharina nee Firnhaber (1733–1802). He studied law at the University of Giessen from 1781 and was an advocate in Frankfurt am Main from March 1, 1786. In 1794 he became city librarian in Frankfurt am Main. From 1821 he was an appellate judge in Frankfurt.

From 1805 to 1816 he was a senator and from 1816 to 1826 as an alderman in the Senate of the Free City of Frankfurt and the Imperial City of Frankfurt. During the time of the Grand Duchy of Frankfurt , he was a city and district judge from 1807. From 1817 to 1820 he was a member of the select council. He was a member of the Legislative Body from 1820 to 1825 .
