Johann Jacob Rothhan

Johann Jacob Rothhan (also Rothan ) (born April 11, 1748 in Frankfurt am Main ; † January 15, 1820 ibid) was a politician of the Imperial City and the Free City of Frankfurt .

Johann Jacob Rothhan studied law from April 15, 1768 at the University of Göttingen, where he disputed in 1772 . After completing his studies, he was a lawyer in Frankfurt, where he became an archivist without pay in 1787 and council clerk in 1789. In 1792 he was elected to the council as a senator and in 1816 was promoted to aldermen.
