Johann Jakob Dörr

Johann Jakob Dörr (born November 15, 1777 in Rheinbischofsheim ; † October 1, 1846 there ) was a Baden innkeeper and politician . He was a member of the Second Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly in Karlsruhe from 1819 to 1823 & 1831 to 1835 for the office of Rheinbischofsheim / Kork.

Johann Jakob Dörr was born as the son of the innkeeper Johannes Dörr (born February 23, 1742 in Rheinbischofsheim; † March 5, 1796 there; Protestant). The Dörr family originally comes from Grünberg in Hesse.

family

Dörr was married to Maria Magdalena Fischer. They had four children (Jakob, Johannes, Ludwig and Emma). His son Jakob (born July 9, 1799 in Rheinbischofsheim; † April 6, 1868 there; Protestant) was also a member of the Second Chamber of the Baden Estates in Karlsruhe from 1842 to 1851 & 1857 to 1858, as well as mayor of Rheinbischofsheim. The Dörr family won the 1st class medal for hemp cultivation at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1855 .
