Johann Jakob Oeri (theologian)
Johann Jakob Oeri (born January 7, 1817 in Wil near Rafz (Canton of Zurich), † July 5, 1897 in Basel ) was a Swiss Reformed theologian .
Oeri was a son of the reformed pastor of the same name and his wife Maria Magdalena Schorndorff. He studied Protestant theology in Basel, Berlin and Bonn . In Bonn he became a member of the Bonner Wingolf in 1841 . After completing his studies, he was pastor from 1843 to 1896 in Lausen and at the prison in Liestal . From 1859 to 1889 he was President of the Parish Convention of Baselland . From 1843 he was married to Maria Louise Burckhardt, Jacob Burckhardt's sister .
