Johann Janecek

Johann Janecek (born May 6, 1881 in Borová , † October 24, 1932 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( SDAP ) and metal worker. From 1919 to 1921 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament and from 1927 to 1932 a member of the National Council .

After attending the elementary and community school in Vienna, Janecek worked as a metal worker and in 1909 became a controller for the Association of Health Insurance Companies in Lower Austria. He also worked as a board member, deputy chairman and from 1924 as chairman of the metal workers' association and between 1919 and 1927 he held the office of chairman of the Federation of Free Trade Unions. He was also President of the Workers' Health Insurance Institute and from 1919 to 1927 District Chairman of Vienna- Brigittenau . He also represented the Social Democratic Workers' Party from May 20, 1919 to May 11, 1921 in the Lower Austrian Landtag (the so-called Common Landtag of Lower Austria ), from November 10, 1920, as part of the separation phase of Vienna from Lower Austria, he was a member of the Vienna Curia was a delegate from Vienna on December 30, 1920. After that he was a member of the National Council from May 18, 1927 until his death ( 3rd and 4th legislative period ).
