Johann Koopmann

Johann Koopmann (born September 24, 1901 in Eckfleth / Wesermarsch ; † October 25, 1960 in Oldenburg ) was a Lower Saxony politician ( SPD ), member of the Lower Saxony state parliament and member of the appointee Oldenburg state parliament .

Koopmann attended elementary school and began an apprenticeship as a bricklayer after completing his schooling. In 1920 he became a member of the union. Eight years later he joined the SPD as a member. Between 1928 and 1933 he worked as a factory mason. After the seizure of power in 1933, he was dismissed by the National Socialists for political reasons. Several years of unemployment followed. After the Second World War , in 1949 he became the site manager for self-help.

Public offices

Koopmann was a member of the appointed Oldenburg Landtag from May 23, 1946 to November 6, 1946. He was also elected to the Lower Saxony Landtag from April 20, 1947 to May 5, 1955 in the first and second electoral periods.
