Johann Lambert Kolleffel

Johann Lambert Kolleffel (baptized November 20, 1706 in Maastricht ; † December 17, 1763 in Vienna ) was a military man and cartographer .

Life

His parents were Georg Eitel von Kolleffel from the Ravensburger patrician family Kolleffel and his wife Barbara Isabella, nee. van Hees. In 1735 Johann Lambert Kolleffel married Anna Magdalena von Scheitlin.

He was in Austrian service and in 1750 created a topographical map of the (then) Austrian margraviate of Burgau . Numerous maps of individual villages were also created. It was the first topographically accurate recording of the geographic conditions in the margraviate.
