Johann Nacke († 1620 in Bremen ) was a stonemason and master builder from Bremen during the Renaissance .

biography

The son of the stonecutter Wynke Nacke worked as a stonemason like his father. He was trained by the master builder of the Bremen town hall Lüder von Bentheim and in 1618 master of his craft. From 1618 to 1621, together with Ernst Krossmann, he carried out the stone carving work on the office and wedding house for the firm of wall tailors in Bremen. The house on Ansgariikirchhof, later named the Krameramts- und Gewerbehaus, was destroyed in the Second World War in 1944 and rebuilt from 1952 to 1959 and today serves as the commercial building of the Bremen Chamber of Crafts as the administrative headquarters. He was also involved in the execution of the so-called Essighaus in Langenstrasse in Bremen - the house of the merchant and mayor Harm Esich .
