Johann Nikolaus Nebel

Johann Nikolaus Nebel (born December 6, 1752 in Koblenz ; † November 4, 1828 there ) was Mayor of Koblenz from 1804 to 1808 .

He was the son of the master baker Bernhard Nebel and had a haberdashery shop in Koblenz's Entenpfuhl. He was already a member of the city council at the time of the Elector and was appointed Mayor by Napoleon on November 11, 1804. The French prefect Adrien de Lezay-Marnésia applied for his dismissal due to incompetence in December 1806, but Nebel stayed in office until 1808. During his tenure he campaigned for the establishment of the music institute and the casino company.

His daughter Barbara Ludovika married the wine merchant Johann Friedrich Deinhard in 1801 , his son Ferdinand Nebel became an architect.
