Johann Paschen

Johann Paschen (born October 27, 1852 in Schwerin , † May 24, 1927 in Rostock ) was a German lawyer and mayor of the Hanseatic city of Rostock from 1914 to 1919 .

Life

Johann Paschen attended the large city school in Rostock until he graduated from high school in 1872 . This was followed by a degree in law. In 1876 he established himself as a lawyer. From 1879 Paschen worked as a judge and in 1883 became a senator in Rostock. He became mayor on October 19, 1914. He held this office until July 1, 1919. Around 1930 a street was named after him in the Kröpeliner-Tor-Vorstadt and in Warnemünde .

Paschen was the last spokesman for a college of three mayors.
