Johann Peter Schück
Johann Peter Schück (* July 7, 1811 in Dühren , † September 21, 1892 in Hoffenheim ) was a Protestant pastor. The teacher's son was vicar in Hoffenheim in 1835 , parish administrator in rows in 1838 and pastor in Hoffenheim from 1847. He promoted singing services and in 1849 published a volume of three and four-part pilgrim songs . This included his song, translated into many languages and sung around the world, Only with Jesus I want to go on a pilgrimage . In Hoffenheim the parish hall, the Schückhaus , bears his name.
