Johann Redl

Johann Redl (born October 16, 1832 in Steyr ; † August 2, 1902 there ) was an Austrian politician.

Johann Redl was a master painter. He was a co-founder and from 1888 president of the Steyr pawnshop . Politically, he was active in the German National Movement . From 1876 he was a local councilor in Steyr, from 1891 to 1894 Vice Mayor and from 1894 to 1902 Mayor of Steyr . The order of the community finances and poor relief were of particular concern to him. From 1901 he was on the board of directors of the Sparkasse Steyr. From 1901 to 1902 he was a member of the Reichsrat .
