Johann Rudolf Sutermeister
Johann Rudolf Sutermeister (born November 2, 1819 in Zofingen ; † April 29, 1892 ; hometown : Zofingen) was a Swiss painter, engraver and glazier.

Sutermeister was a son of Susanna Katharina (née Bossard, 1790–1843) and the plumber Heinrich Philipp Sutermeister (1784–1861). He had several siblings:

Sutermeister was married twice, first from 1849 to Verena (nee Zahn, 1822–1871) and then from 1877 to Susanna (nee Fischer, 1842–1922). He exhibited at the Swiss rotating exhibition in Bern in 1840 , among other things .
