Epitaph in Basel Minster
Johann Rudolf of Hallwyl (* after 1460; † 12. February 1527 in Basel ) from the Aargauerstrasse Adelsgeschlecht Hallwyl belonged from 1484 to his death in the Basel Domkapitel to which he 1504-1510 as Dompropst board. In 1510 he exchanged this office for that of cathedral curator . 1500–1527 he was also provost of the canons of Saint-Ursanne . In January 1527, the Basel cathedral chapter appointed him coadjutor of Bishop Christoph von Utenheim , but he died before he was installed in his new office.
