Johann Rudolf von Stürler (born June 14, 1771 in Köniz ; † September 10, 1861 in Bern ; resident in Bern) was a Swiss politician and landowner.

Johann Rudolf von Stürler was the son of his father of the same name and Elisabeth von Mutach. He was married to Maria Elisabeth von Sinner from 1795 . In 1798 he was artillery captain in the battle of Fraubrunnen , later artillery colonel , and in 1809 a member of the council of war. From 1803 he was a member of the Bernese Grand Council, 1809 to 1814 and 1821 to 1831 a member of the Small Council and several times delegate to the Diet. In the years 1803 to 1809 he was Oberamtmann von Burgdorf and from 1816 to 1821 Oberamtmann von Fraubrunnen. In 1808 he was director of the Bern penitentiaries.

In 1789 Johann Rudolf von Stürler inherited Jegenstorf Castle from his mother, which he exchanged in 1812 with his cousin Rudolf Gabriel von Stürler at the Mühlemattgut in Thierachern for financial reasons. In 1825 August von Platen stayed at Mühlemattgut and wrote the poem To Diana the Giant there .
