Johann Rumeschottel
Johann Rumeschottel , also Johann Rumescotel ( bl. 1406-1409 ) was a builder from Rostock .
Life
Rumeschottel was the son of the builder Kersten Rumeschottel, who possibly directed the construction of the Schwerin Cathedral. Between 1406 and 1409 he built the main choir with deambulatorium in the Petrikirche in Riga . Two journeymen were at his side, one Hinrik Hauerbeke and the other his son Kersten Rumeschottel. The choir of the Marienkirche in Rostock and the Doberaner Minster served as a model . However, construction was interrupted and only completed with other construction plans from 1466.
